What we collect
Account info: if you create an account, we collect your email address (used only for login) and a securely hashed password, handled by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password in plain text.
Content you submit: if you suggest a find, we store what you enter (product names, prices, retailer, category, notes, and a source link or handle) and, if you're logged in, associate it with your account so you can track its review status.
Photos: if you submit a photo, either with a new find or as a suggestion for an existing one, we store the image itself and, if you're logged in, associate it with your account. It goes through the same pending or approved review as any other submission before it's shown to anyone else.
Saved finds: if you're logged in, we store which finds you've bookmarked so you can see them again later.
Reports: if you report a find, we store the reason you give and, if you're logged in, your account id, so we can review it.
Blocked users: if you're logged in and block another user, we store which account you blocked so their reviews stay hidden from you. They aren't told, and you can undo it any time from the Account tab.
Spam protection: to stop abuse, when you submit a find, photo, report or review we briefly keep a count of recent submissions tied to your account or, if you're logged out, to a one-way scrambled version of your network address (never the address itself). It is deleted within two days.
Crash reports: if the app crashes or a request fails unexpectedly, it sends a technical report (the error, the app version, and basic device and operating-system details) to our error-reporting service so we can fix the problem. Reports aren't linked to your account and don't include your email, name, or network address.
We don't collect location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
Why we collect it
Strictly to run the app: authenticating you, letting you save and track finds, and reviewing submissions before they're shown to everyone else. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it.
Who we share it with
Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers, Supabase (database, authentication and photo storage) and Sentry (crash reports), who process it on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Our website at mannu.app is hosted by Cloudflare, which may log standard visit data such as your network address. We don't share your data with anyone else.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab. This permanently removes your login, your saved finds, your reviews, and your blocked-user list. Finds and photos you submitted that are still waiting for review (or were declined) are deleted, along with their image files. Ones that were already approved may remain live, since they've become part of the shared, community-sourced content, but they're no longer linked to you.
To request a copy of your data, or ask us anything else about this policy, contact us at support@mannu.app.
Children
Mannu isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
